Subject to deliberation by the Steering Group, the ACT’s Advisory Group was finalised. With few exceptions, invitations to join the AG were accepted.
Members who accepted invitations include several representatives from major tech companies, governments, and civil society. We consider the group to be exceptionally strong, and expect that members will provide invaluable insights as the ACT moves into the phase of producing outputs and recommendations. The first joint meeting of the Steering Group and Advisory Group will be held in mid-September.
The Advisory Group will be given opportunities to provide input on draft work plans and outputs, participate in AC events, and otherwise provide guidance to the Steering Group as appropriate. The Steering Group will retain discretion over how, whether, and when advisory group input will be sought and how advisory group input will be reflected in the ACT’s work.
